Challenge: Position DFDS as the front runner and the perfect green logistics partner

DFDS are frontrunners. And the electric truck revolution they are pioneering is a once in a lifetime paradigm shift in the logistics industry. While others are waiting to see how the new technology develops, DFDS are working with partners to prove its commercial viability.

Such partnerships are key to their success. DFDS need to attract other pioneerbrands to find solutions to the inevitable challenges they will encounter. So, these launch events are an opportunity to position DFDS as a collaborative partner. As well as convince customers that the new electric trucks can be trusted to deliver results with a technology that is yet to go mainstream.

Solution: Controlled messaging delivered with impact

We have the pleasure to work closely with DFDS. From designing the  concept for an event to selecting and directing the right event partners  to pull off ambitious plans – we’re working on the inside. This close, long-term position has allowed us to create whatever didn’t exist, as and whenit was needed.Launching 20 electric trucks in Gothenburg, the home of Volvo Trucks, meant DFDS had the largest electrical fleet in the Nordics. And we wanted to show that the time for talking was over.DFDS, the frontrunners, were taking action. And by presenting the 20 electric trucks standing in a line, we made a statement the audience could see, feel and touch in the moment. While, the live cello and dance performance, together with an inspirational voiceover added drama and atouch of the unexpected to the reveal.

We needed a concept that everyone could tap into: Together, we’re driving towards sustainable supply chains. It captured the collaborative nature of DFDS, a feature that was further reinforced by the scripts we produced for on-stage speakers and digital displays.Scripts didn’t need to be repeated word-for-word – but they ensured cohesive messaging that was on point.

Launching 20 electric trucks in Gothenburg, the home of Volvo Trucks, meant DFDS had the largest electrical fleet in the Nordics. Our event positioned DFDS as a frontrunner and communicated: “We take action”.

With 20 electric trucks standing in a line, we made a statement the audience could touch and see. A live cello and dance performance, with an inspirational voiceover, added drama and a touch of the unexpected.

We scripted the presentations and on-stage conversation to reinforce keymessages.

We created animations and films for use on screens at the event.

Martin Max directed the composition of an original piece of music to play during the curtain drop dance performance.

We captured the landmark event with film and photography to share externally.
